Hot Cannonballs with sweet potato fries: A fiery delicacy to enjoy - recipe and preparation

Today we want to try something completely new with you. What does completely new mean? We are going to prepare oversized Moinkballs. During the creative process of creating the Moinkballs, we came up with this name for the dish: Cannonballs. sealed

So let's get started. Today we have: cannonballs with sweet potato fries.

The first step is to peel the sweet potatoes. We wash them. Now we cut the sweet potatoes into finger-thick strips. We put water in a large pot and then throw the strips in. After an hour we take the cut sweet potatoes out of the bath again.

Now we take 1 kg of ground beef. Now we add the spices: salt, pepper, garlic and chili. Now we knead the whole thing. Done.

Now the cheese is prepared. The Babybels are cut in half like a burger bun. We put 2-3 jalapeños in the middle. Now comes the clue. We form the ground beef into patties. We put the prepared Babybels on the patty and then put another beef patty on top.

The whole thing is formed into a large ball. Now we do the whole thing 8 times.

Now we wrap 4 slices of bacon around each cannonball. Now put everything on the grill. Please cook on indirect heat. When we have reached a core temperature of 65 - 70 degrees Celsius we can take the delicious cannonballs off the grill.

While cooking the oversized Moinkballs you can prepare the sweet potato fries.

Before we fry the sweet potatoes, heat the oil to 170 - 190 degrees Celsius. We prepared the fries in a Dutch oven. If you want to make it easier, just use a deep fryer. First, we take a bowl and a whisk. Now add a little water, starch and French fry seasoning. Mix everything together slowly, as starch reacts very slowly. The mixture now goes into the bowl of the fries. We mix everything by hand and add the sweet potato strips in portions. Always stir regularly so that the fries don't stick together. After about 8 - 10 minutes, you can take the fries out of the pot and season with French fry seasoning.
